Pediatric services

Support for communication, connection & everyday life.

Services are available from birth through young adulthood. Evaluation and therapy are individualized around your child’s strengths, communication profile, routines, and family priorities.

Start with understanding

Speech-Language Evaluations

A thoughtful evaluation helps us understand what your child is already doing well, where support may be needed, and what next steps make sense.

Depending on the referral question, evaluation may include caregiver interview, records review, clinical observation, standardized testing, informal assessment, language sampling, and functional communication tasks.

Bilingual care

English and Spanish are strengths

Children who use more than one language deserve assessment and treatment that considers their full communication system. Using two languages does not, by itself, cause a speech or language disorder.

When clinically appropriate, services can include English, Spanish, or both, along with caregiver education about bilingual development and strategies for supporting communication at home.

What ASHA says about multilingual development

ASHA notes that using more than one language does not confuse children, cause or worsen a speech-language problem, or slow learning. A strong foundation in one language can support learning additional languages.

English+Español

Goals are based on communication needs — not on asking families to give up a home language.

Therapy where life happens

Service settings & collaboration

The best setting depends on your child’s needs, goals, schedule, and availability.

Home & community-based

When available, mobile services allow us to work within familiar routines and use communication opportunities already present in your child’s day.

Teletherapy when appropriate

Teletherapy is provided through Carepatron’s secure telehealth platform when it is clinically appropriate, available, and a good fit for the child’s goals and family needs.

Caregiver & provider collaboration

With appropriate permission, care may include communication with caregivers and other professionals so strategies are easier to carry across settings.
